Michaela
BVM&S MRCVS (Vet)

Michaela was born in South Africa and lived there until she was 18. Her family then moved to Guernsey where she began a gap year sailing around the Channel Islands. She qualified from Edinburgh in 1999 and moved to Sheringham to start at Miramar, going into partnership in the practice with Wessel in 2001. She plays hockey for a local team and also has a keen interest in photography. She lives in West Runton with her partner Stuart.
Wessel
BVSc MRCVS (Vet)

Wessel qualified from Onderspoort, South Africa in 1985. He first came to Miramar in 1999 as a locum, then joined the practice permanently in 2000, becoming a Partner, with Michaela, in 2001. Wessel enjoys the surgical side of veterinary science and is always keen to try new techniques. He lives in Sheringham with his wife Charis, their three children and Gnasher the dog.
The family enjoy holidays in Europe and camping in the British Isles as well as regular trips home to the farm in South Africa.
Jane
MA VetMB MRCVS (Vet)

Jane graduated in 1988 from Cambridge and joined the practice in 1990. She currently works part time, spending the rest of her time with husband Andrew and their twin girls. She has two dogs - Molly is a regular behind the desk at the surgery and Rosie who enjoys a day's work at the farm with Andrew. Jane enjoys living in the country with her family, including the ferret and six chickens. The family enjoy their camping holidays and long walks with the dogs.
Daniel
BVSc MRCVS (Vet)

Daniel joined the practice in March 2010, he grew up in Zimbabwe and did his veterinary degree at Onderstepoort in South Africa. He enjoys the variety in veterinary science and hopes to further his studies with a course focusing on Exotic Species and Wildlife.

Daniel also enjoys a variety of sports including football, basketball, golf, squash and fishing. He is looking forward to exploring Norfolk in his spare time.
Vicki
BA VetMB MRCVS (Vet)

Vicki joined Miramar in January 2010, she graduated from Cambridge in June 2009. After qualifying she travelled to India where she worked at a veterinary hospital and charity clinic dealing with animals of all sizes including dogs, cats, elephants and camels! Vicki has a special interest in internal medicine and neurology. In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, badminton and going on long walks with her border terrier “Darcey”.
Lesley
(Practice Manager)

Lesley first came to the practice in 1993 while on work experience and then in 1997 she became a full time member of staff, progressing to practice manager in 2003. She has a keen interest in IT. Lesley enjoys a variety of hobbies including golf, badminton and walks with Tilly her dog. She has two sisters with young families and spends lots of her spare time being Auntie. She is also involved with the running of the local Brownies.
Jayne
RVN (Head Nurse)

Jayne started training as a nurse in Cambridgeshire in 1989, qualified in 1991 and became Head Nurse. She worked in various practices throughout East Anglia and came to Miramar in 2002 to take on the position as Head Nurse, where she runs a variety of nurse clinics and has a keen interest in weight management, dentistry and one to one puppy appointments. Jayne lives two minutes from the beach, which is ideal for walking her dog Millie. Her other interests include horror films and going to the cinema.
Lucy
RVN (Vet Nurse)

Lucy first joined the practice in 1996 working as a receptionist and running the branch surgery. In 2001 she began her nurse training in Huntingdon and qualified in 2004. Lucy runs a variety of nurse clinics, specialising in rabbit husbandry and has a keen interest in canine behaviour and physiotherapy. She lives in Sheringham with her partner Michael, three cats and two rabbits. She is the proud owner of a red scooter; her hobbies include badminton and long walks along the beach.
Sara
RVN (Vet Nurse)

Sara started training as a veterinary nurse in 1995, qualifying in 1998, she became an assessor in 2005 - enabling her to train student nurses, and she has so far helped four nurses achieve their VN qualifications. Sara joined Miramar in 2006 and is mainly at Overstrand where she runs nurse clinics and assists the vets on a daily basis. At home Sara has a cat and tropical fish, in her spare time she enjoys photography, gardening, diving the Norfolk coast and messing about with boats!
Kirsty
RVN (Vet Nurse)

Kirsty originally worked as kennel assistant before starting her veterinary nurse training in 2003 at Easton College in Norwich. She qualified in 2006 and has worked within a small animal practice since then. She has a chocolate Labrador called Brandy and two cats Holly and Simba. Kirsty regularly looks after her friend's horses and enjoys riding in the countryside. In her spare time she also enjoys socialising with friends and family.
Amy
SVN (Student Vet Nurse)

Amy joined the practice in April 2008 as a student veterinary nurse and started her training at the College of Animal Welfare (Cambridge) in September. She has a chocolate Labrador called Buddy, who loves walking along the beach. In her spare time she like to watch DVDs, walking her dog, going shopping and socialising with friends.
Lauren
SVN (Student Vet Nurse)

Lauren joined the practice in October 2008 for her first work placement for university, she is currently studying for a foundation degree in veterinary nursing at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Lauren joins us when she has a work placement gap from university and also in her free time. When at home she lives with mother and her Jack Russell Terrier, Saffie who she enjoy taking for long walks. She also has two cats Whispa and Skye.
Helen
SVN (Student Vet Nurse)

Helen first joined the practice in October 2007 on a one day a week work placement from Easton College, studying for National Diploma in Animal Management. In 2009 Helen passed her course with a distinction and this year completed her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification. After a short time at another veterinary practice, Helen has rejoined us a Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN). Helen lives at home with her parents, Tye the lurcher and Smartie the hamster.
Diane
(Receptionist)

Diane joined the practice in 2001 as a full time receptionist. She lives in Sheringham with her husband John and three cats, Barley, Amber and Oxford. Diane enjoys going for long walks along the coast, has a keen interest in environmental issues, reading, gardening, keeping tropical fish and is a committed vegetarian.
